ISO 13485

Medical Devices Quality Management Certification

  • ISO 13485 is an international standard that establishes the requirements for a quality management system applied to the design, development, production, installation and servicing of medical devices. It is aimed at ensuring the safety and effectiveness of these products throughout their life cycle.
  • Etiprés obtained ISO 13485 certification in July 2023 through the Colombian Institute of Technical Standards (ICONTEC), in collaboration with the Costa Rican Institute of Techincal Standards (INTECO).

ISO 9001

Quality Management Certification

  • ISO 9001 is an international standard eligible for certification that defines the requirements for a quality management system. It is aimed at continuously improving the processes, increasing the efficiency, and ensuring customer satisfaction through the consistent fullfillment of requirements and international standards.
  • Etiprés obtained ISO 9001 certification, along with ISO 4001 standard, in the year 2000. Since then, it has maintained both certifications continuously, reaffirming its commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and responsible management across all its operations.

ISO 14001

Environmental Management Certification

  • ISO14001 is an international standard eligible for certification that defines the requirements for an environmental management system. Its purpose is to help organizations control and reduce the environmental impact of their activities, comply with current regulations, and promote continuous improvement in their environmental practices, all while supporting the achievement of their business objectives in a sustainable manner.
  • Etiprés obtained ISO 14001 certification, along with ISO 9001 standard, in the year 2000, and since then, it has maintained both certifications continuously, reaffirming its commitment to sustainability and responsable management.

INTE G35

Social Responsibility Management Certification

  • INTE G35:2012 it’s a standard issued by the Costa Rican Institute of Techinical Standards (INTECO), that establishes the guidelines for a Social Responsibility Management System. Its purpose is to guide businesses and organizations in the structuring and management of their social responsibility iniciative in an orderly and coherent way.
  • Etiprés obtained INTE G35 certification in October 2024, becoming the fourth national business to reach this recognition and the first Costa Rican PYME in achieving it. Since then, the certification is still in effect.

Carbono Neutralidad

Programa País

  • Costa Rica has adopted as part of its Climate Change Strategy an eco competitive development model, low in emissions and resilient to climate change. In this context, the “Programa País” is the government iniciative in charge of officializing the processes related to the inventory report of greenhouse gases and the application of the National Standard of Carbon Neutrality.
  • Etiprés carried out a verification of its inventory of greenhouse gases in year 2015 and reached the Carbon Nautrality certification under “Programa País” in March 2016. Since then, it has remained continuously commited to this program.

Esencial Costa Rica

Esencial Costa Rica is the brand of Costa Rica. It represents the businesses that proudly reflects the values of sustainability, excellence, Costa Rican origines, social committment and innovation.

  • Etiprés obtained the Esencial Costa Rica brand license in March 2024, becoming the fourth company to achieve this distinction. In year 2016, it renewed its corporate use license and also obtained the product use license. Both licenses remain valid to this day, reflecting the company’s ongoing committment to principles promoted by the country brand.
